On October 16th, 2012 residents of New England experienced an unusual natural occurrence when their nearby floors and walls temporarily shook. It was later determined that a minor earthquake of a 4.6 magnitude rattled southern Maine, Tuesday evening around 7:12 P.M. just 20 miles west of Portland, Maine.
