The homeowners in Lyme, New Hampshire was fed up with a water issue in the basement. They purchased the home three years ago and for three years water had seeped into the basement. The water would start to come into the basement around spring time and wouldn't even start to dry out until August. This made it a huge hassle for them. They couldn't even use the big basement space for storage with out having things on raised platforms.
Tired of not being able to use their space they contacted Matt Clark's Northern Basement Systems@855-DRY-TIME. Matt sent out of his System Design Specialist for the customers FREE ESTIMATE. After doing the inspection the conclusion was made the best way to keep the customers basement permanently dry was to install a few different products.
First Northern Basement Systems installed a CleanSpace Wall System. The CleanSpace Wall System uses a thick (20mil) white poly sheet material to completely cover basement foundation walls. CleanSpace is installed by fastening the material to the rim joist atop the foundation wall, and by installing press-fit plastic fasteners into the masonry. As part of your waterproofing system, it creates an effective moisture and vapor barrier. The wall covering forces all wall seepage and moisture to flow into your perimeter drain system. The white poly surface eliminates the need to paint basement walls, providing a bright, stain-resistant finish that never needs repainting or maintenance. Next, WaterGuard was installed around the perimeter of the basement. WaterGuard effectively captures wall and floor seepage before it reaches your basement floor. When WaterGuard is installed together with our sump pump system, your basement has complete protection. Water enters the system via inlet holes and flows through the drainage pipe to sump pump. Finally a SuperSump Plus was installed to pump out any water in the WaterGuard. The SuperSump has a premium plastic sump liner is the attractive alternative to an open sump pit. Perforations in the liner capture ground water, and a larger opening connects to the interior drainage system. The liner's airtight lid keeps out pests and debris, while also eliminating the safety hazard of an open sump pit. It has a WaterWatch Alarm in case of a power outage, tripped circuit breaker or other malfunction shuts down your sump pump, this alarm will sound when water level rises above the sump pump intake. It has a Zoeller cast-iron, 1/3 HP pump where as inexpensive sump pumps with plastic housings are prone to overheating and burnout. All Basement Systems sump pumps are equipped with powerful, top-quality Zoeller sump pumps. The unit installed in our SuperSump is one of the best, capable of pumping up to 2,280 gallons per hour. The water from the Super Sump will pump out of the house to a discharge line away from the home. The homeowners now have a permanent big dry space the can enjoy. No more putting their storage on risers and no more water in their basement.
