When John F couldn't stand being in California for one more minute, he decided it was time to pack up and move back to his New England roots of beautiful New Hampshire. John knew his job was able to be performed remotely, and that's exactly what he was going to do. He had a vision of turning his new basement into a large office, making it easy for him to maximize his workflow and potential.
John purchased his new lakefront home without visiting it, leaning on his home inspector/contractor for inspection and recommendation. While the home inspector did put in his note that there look to be possible signs of water entering the basement at some point in time, the home inspector noted that the basement was dry upon inspection. The home inspector gave John the number to Matt Clark's Northern Basement Systems in case water ever started to be a problem.
Well, fast forward to John settling in his new home and being there for the first heavy rain storm of the spring. Thankfully John hadn't fully remodeled his basement for office use yet because when John went to work in his basement that night, he saw pools of water in different locations. Luckily for John, most of the water didn't destroy anything but knowing he had big plans to remodel and furnish his basement for work fully, something had to change.
