A home owner in Washington, Vermont was tired of having water in their basement. It seemed there was water always in their basement. Even when it wasn't raining. When it did rain it got even worse. On top of that they were sick of it being so cold in their basement. Their basement walls were stone and naked. You could feel the cold coming off from the walls. They finally were fed up. Something had to be done. They had heard of a few companies that take care of basement issues, but weren't sure who to trust to the job the right way. They did a lot of research and came to the conclusion that Matt Clark's Northern Basement Systems was by far the most reliable and trustworthy company they found. They took the next step and contacted Matt and his team of experts.
After hearing the home owners concerns Matt sent out one of his System Design Specialist. The Specialist came to the home and did an intensive inspection and went over his findings with the homeowner. He concluded that to fix the water issue Northern Basements would install a full perimeter Water Guard System and a TripleSafe Sump Pump. The Water Guard will collect the water and route it to the TripleSafe Sump Pump. The TripleSafe will then pump the water out of the basement through a discharge line and down another discharge line away from the house, making the basement dry for good. For the cold walls they install Clean Space along all of the exposed stone walls. The Clean Space will create a vapor barrier and insulate the walls. The happy home owners now have a wonderful dry and much warmer basement they can enjoy.
The homeowner had a sump pump but was concerned about the moisture and humidity in their basement. We sent out a system design specialist to provide a FREE estimate and a solution to address their concerns. Next, our installation specialists went the home to install the SaniDry XP Basement Air System, to reduce moisture in the air.
Carl in Thetford, Vermont had his basement sealed by a different company in 2005 but after a few years, mice began to chew the plastic and during heavy rainfall, there was a lot of water entering the crawlspace. Our installation team installed CleanSpace Drainage Matting to channel the water under the crawlspace, and then placed the CleanSpace Vapor Barrier on top with both of these layers in place, the crawlspace is fully encapsulated and will seal out the humidity and water. To pair with this system, they installed a SmartPump Drain that protects the space from broken pipes or water entering for the other side of the liner that could cause the encapsulation system to fill from the inside. Lastly, they installed a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier to improve air quality and reduce moisture in the air that could promote the growth of mold over time.
