A quick look at the two pumps. The TripleSafe was installed in the side of the basement where the most water is. It can pump out up to 6,200 gallons per hour, while the SuperSump can do up to 2,280 gallons per hour.
The SuperSump Pump is installed in the corner of the basement where the lesser amount of water enters the basement.
The TripleSafe is fully installed and working its magic, pumping out any water headed its way.

Spring Melting Causing a Homeowners Basement to Flood Time and Time Again in Claremont
Shawn and Kayla Sullivan of Claremont, NH were plagued with a common problem many homeowners face: a leaky basement due to rain and snowmelt in the spring. The problem didn’t affect them every time it rained but was a serious issue for them nonetheless.
Their problem was like so many others that we face and after their free inspection, we were able to provide a solution that fit their needs.
To deal with the water coming into the basement DryTrak was installed. DryTrak is similar to WaterGuard in that it funnels all water to a pump; however, DryTrak is used for monolithic foundations and sits on top of the basement floor. For a pump, Shawn and Kayla decided to go with the TripleSafe pump containing two pumps in the event that one pump fails or that one pump can’t keep up with the amount of water, and a battery backup in case of a power outage. Along with the waterproofing, we installed a ThermalDry wall system that stops water vapor, drains wall leaks, and reflects up to 97% of the indoor heat back into the basement. ThermalDry wall systems are also perfect for homeowners that are considering finishing their basement at a later time.
In the end, Shawn and Kayla were very satisfied with the work and now have the peace of mind that their home won’t have water problems every spring.
The Chimney Begins To Separate From The House
Andrew had a problem on his hands. His chimney started to pull away from his house. Andrew knew that this was a liability and decided to take action. After talking it over with his friends and family, one of his friends referred him to Matt Clark’s Northern Basement Systems.
Matt Clark and his team of experts arrived and inspected the chimney. It had several cracks in it and sure enough, was pulling away from the house. Such a problem was caused by settling soil from beneath the chimney. As some of the soil settled, the portion of the chimney resting upon it also settled. These shifts caused the chimney portions to physically separate. Matt Clark and his experts have seen this problem before, so they knew what to do. They installed four Push Piers to support the chimney’s foundation using standard brackets. The experts dug down to the chimney’s footing, installed the brackets and hydraulically pushed steel rods through the bracket and through the ground. The rods were pushed until they reached a competent layer of soil, deep below the surface. The weight was then transferred and the chimney was lifted back into its original position.
Andrew made the right choice by being proactive about his chimney. He can rest easily knowing that the foundation is in a much sturdier, safer condition. Matt Clark is an expert in the world of foundation repair. He knows how the problem occurred and based on those occurrences, he can find the appropriate solution. Storm Provides Dirty Basement Water. Matt Clark Provides Clean Solution
Yoka lived near a river. When a heavy storm came through town, the river flooded, pushing dirt and water through her stone wall. She knew she had to do something before the next big storm. After doing some research online, she found Matt Clark’s Northern Basement Systems and decided to give them a call. After the brief phone call, Matt Clark agreed to visit Yoka’s basement for a free estimate.
Matt Clark and his team of experts inspected the basement and knew just what to do. They installed a TripleSafe pump system, their Waterguard system, a discharge line and an Iceguard. The Waterguard is a gutter-like device that collects the water at the base of the wall. The water is pushed to the TripleSafe pump. There are three pumps that make up this system, a primary one and two backups in case of power failure. The primary pump channels the water through the discharge line and the water is pushed to the outdoor surface. The Iceguard prevents the discharge line from freezing, since, it is an open airway to the outdoors. With all these installations in place, the water in Yoka’s basement will be taken care of without ever being seen.
Yoka’s problem was not an uncommon one. Many New Englanders whether they live near a river or not, experience intrusive basement water and dirt. Yoka made the right choice. She now has peace of mind any time a storm rolls through town. Matt Clark and his team of experts are dedicated to keeping the Plainfield community safe and dry.
RainChutes Keep Water Away From Foundation
Bruce had a problem on his hands. During heavy rain storms, water would seep right through Bruce’s concrete floor and dampen his bedroom carpet. After talking it over with his friend, Bruce was referred to Matt Clark’s Northern Basement Systems. After a free phone call, Matt Clark and his team agreed to go out and give Bruce a free estimate.
Bruce’s problem was a relatively common one. Many homeowners, from all around New England, face the problem of foundational leakages. However, in Bruce’s case there was a simplistic solution. The experts from Northern Basement Systems saw that backed-up rainwater could have been a main contributor to the seepage. They installed four RainChutes. A RainChute is a recessed downspout extension that sits flush with the ground. The RainChute flushes away leaves and debris so it doesn’t become clogged. These installations helped channel the water away from the foundation, reducing the likelihood that it would seep through the concrete.
Matt Clark knows that many times, a sump pump system can be the solution. Sump pumps are a great way to get pesky water out of the basement but sometimes, it just takes getting the rain water away from the foundation in the first place. Bruce is pleased that he called Matt Clark.
