A homeowner in Whiting, Vermont, contacted Matt Clark's Northern Basement Systems for help with water intrusion in their basement. The basement had several usable areas, including mechanical equipment and finished-looking wall sections, so the homeowner needed a waterproofing system that could manage water without detracting from the space's overall function.
During the inspection, our team found signs of moisture along the walls and floor. Water needed to be collected at the perimeter and directed to a dependable sump pump system before it could spread across the basement. The home also needed a clean discharge setup outside to move collected water away from the foundation.
Northern Basement Systems installed CleanSpace Wall System along the basement walls to help brighten the space and direct wall moisture into the drainage system. Interior drainage was installed along the perimeter to collect water at the base of the foundation wall and guide it to the sump pump system. The crew installed a TripleSafe sump pump system with an UltraSump battery backup for added protection. The system was then connected to an exterior discharge line designed to move water away from the home. LawnScape was used at the end of the discharge line to help release water away from the foundation.
Once the waterproofing system was complete, the basement had a cleaner appearance and a more dependable way to handle water intrusion. This project is a good example of how a full system can protect a basement while keeping the space usable and organized.
