Like most Churches, this Church in Alstead, New Hampshire had events and gatherings. The majority of this Church's events took place in a nice finished basement. Over the years the church had to move or cancel events due to water in the basement. They had a sump pump, but it wouldn't keep up with the large amount of water entering. This would lead to endless hours of removing the water by additional portable pumps and shop vacuums. Tired of the hassle, the good people at the church reached out to the Water Proofing Experts at Matt Clark's Northern Basement Systems. After a FREE ESTIMATE, one of Matt's System Design Specialist set forth a plan to permanently water proof the church basement. The amount of water entering the basement and the size of the basement was so large that this job would call for three TripleSafe Sump Pumps, a WaterGuard System, and to control the humidity a Sanidry XP. The basement is now nice and dry, ready to host future events.

We provided this long-term customer with yearly maintenance and service to keep his system running as it should. The homeowner recently had his oil tank removed and wanted to alter the WaterGuard drainage system in that area to give it a more finished look and make that space more usable.
When the system was installed, the perimeter drainage was placed around the oil tank slab to prevent water from entering the basement, once the oil tank was removed, the raised slab remained and made that corner unusable.
Our service team jackhammered out the raised slab and added WaterGuard Drainage along the perimeter wall, then concealed the system with concrete to give the space a clean and finished look.
We always want to hear from our customers regarding annual services and system improvements! It's important to service waterproofing and foundation systems annually to ensure that all parts are operating as they should and to find any problems before they find you!
The owners of a very large building in South Burlington, VT were in serious trouble. Their building had started to sink and knew they needed help. Push Piers are made of steel and are driven very far into the ground until it hits stable soil or bedrock. The push piers on this job were used in both the interior and exterior of the building to lift it back to the original position. The team removed soil from around the exterior walls then used a heavy-duty steel bracket that is installed below and against the building foundation's footing. Next, steel piers are driven hydraulically through the bracket into the stable soil. The weight of the building is transferred through the piers to competent soil. Then our team lifted the building back to a level state, backfilled the soil, and now the building is permanently stabilized.
