This crawl space in Peacham, Vermont, had exposed ground, fallen insulation, and visible moisture, leaving the space unprotected. After a full crawl space encapsulation with drainage matting and a durable vapor barrier, the area is now clean, covered, and better isolated from ground moisture, creating a more stable environment beneath the home.
In Coventry, Vermont, this crawl space was dealing with a combination of structural sagging and ongoing moisture intrusion, leaving the area damp and unstable beneath the home. The lack of proper support had led to uneven floors above, while ground moisture and water seepage created an environment that was difficult to control and prone to persistent dampness.
After installing a SmartJack® support system to stabilize the structure, a CleanSpace® encapsulation system to isolate the crawl space from ground moisture, and a SmartDrain™ system to provide a dedicated path for any water intrusion, the space is now dry, controlled, and structurally sound. The floors above feel solid, and the crawl space has been transformed into a clean, protected area designed for long-term performance.
A homeowner in East Thetford (Thetford), Vermont, was dealing with a basement wall that had developed horizontal cracks and noticeable inward bowing due to pressure from the surrounding soil. After installing the PowerBrace™ wall support system, the wall was stabilized and reinforced, preventing any further movement and restoring structural confidence in the home.
Before this, the East Corinth, Vermont, homeowner was dealing with water entering their finished basement bar area during heavy rains. What should have been a great space for entertaining was instead at risk of flooding, damage, and constant cleanup. After a full inspection, our team identified the lowest point of the basement in an unfinished section—where water could be effectively managed before reaching the finished area. We installed a sump pump system at that low point to capture and remove water before it could spread.
Now, instead of water making its way into the finished bar area, it is controlled and redirected safely out of the home. The result is a dry, protected basement and a space the homeowner can enjoy again with confidence.
When a Glover, Vermont, homeowner wanted to repair their nasty crawlspace, they hired Matt Clark's Northern Basement Systems.
