Basement Waterproofing and Humidity Control in South Sutton, NH | Matt Clark's Northern Basement Systems
Challenge
Water and moisture were affecting the basement of this South Sutton, New Hampshire home. The homeowner needed a solution that could manage water beneath the basement floor covering while also addressing high humidity in the space. Matt Clark's Northern Basement Systems evaluated the basement and determined that floor drainage and encapsulation combined with dependable sump pump protection and humidity control would provide an effective solution. A complete exterior discharge system was also needed to carry pumped water away from the foundation.
Solution
Our crew installed drainage matting across the basement floor to create drainage space beneath the encapsulation system. CleanSpace® was then installed over the drainage matting, creating a durable barrier between the basement and the damp surface below. A TripleSafe® Sump Pump System was installed to collect and pump water out of the basement. A SaniDry™ dehumidifier was also added to control excess moisture in the basement air automatically. Outside, IceGuard® was installed on the sump discharge line for additional protection during freezing conditions. The buried discharge line terminates at a LawnScape™ outlet positioned away from the foundation.

• IceGuard® — Provides an emergency outlet for sump water if the exterior buried discharge line freezes or becomes blocked.
• LawnScape™ Outlet — Provides a discreet termination point for the buried discharge line and releases pumped water away from the home's foundation.
The basement now has a comprehensive system for managing both water and humidity.
