Basement Waterproofing in Williamsville, VT | Matt Clark's Northern Basement Systems
Challenge
Water was entering the basement of this Williamsville, Vermont home. The homeowner needed a waterproofing solution that could manage water entering around the basement perimeter and through the foundation walls while reliably removing collected water from the home. Matt Clark's Northern Basement Systems evaluated the basement and determined that an interior perimeter drainage system combined with foundation wall protection and dependable sump pumping would provide a comprehensive solution. The discharge system also needed to carry pumped water safely away from the foundation.
Solution
Our crew installed WaterGuard® along the basement perimeter to collect incoming water and direct it toward the sump system. The CleanSpace® Wall System was installed along the foundation walls to capture wall water and direct it downward into WaterGuard.
A TripleSafe® Sump Pump System was installed to collect and pump the water out of the basement. Outside the home, IceGuard® was added to the discharge system for protection if the buried line freezes or becomes blocked. The discharge line continues underground to a LawnScape™ outlet positioned away from the foundation.
Products Installed
• WaterGuard® — An interior perimeter drainage system is positioned on top of the foundation footing and beneath the edge of the basement floor. WaterGuard captures incoming groundwater and wall water and directs it toward the sump pump system.
• CleanSpace® Wall System — A durable wall system that provides a clean, bright appearance while directing water entering through foundation walls down into the WaterGuard drainage system.
• TripleSafe® Sump Pump System — Provides three levels of sump pump protection in a single system, including primary pumping capacity, additional pumping protection during high-water conditions and battery-backup protection during power outages.
• IceGuard® — Installed on the exterior sump discharge line to provide an emergency outlet for pumped water if the buried discharge line freezes or becomes blocked.
• LawnScape™ Outlet — Provides a discreet termination point for the buried discharge line and releases sump water away from the home's foundation.
Water entering through the foundation walls or around the basement perimeter can now be collected by the CleanSpace and WaterGuard systems and directed to the TripleSafe sump system for removal. Outside, IceGuard and LawnScape provide the final components needed to carry discharged water away from the foundation. By combining WaterGuard, the CleanSpace Wall System, TripleSafe, IceGuard, and LawnScape, Northern Basement Systems provided this Williamsville, Vermont, homeowner with a complete basement waterproofing system designed to manage water from the point it enters the basement through its final discharge away from the home.
