Challenge
The crawl space beneath this North Pomfret, Vermont, home had water intrusion, an exposed ground surface, and inadequate structural support. Water and ground moisture affected the conditions beneath the home, while weakened supports allowed portions of the floor system to sag or shift. The homeowner needed a complete repair that would manage incoming water, isolate the home from the ground and reinforce the structure above. Solution
The crew installed a TripleSafe® Sump Pump System to collect water and pump it away from the home. CleanSpace® was then installed across the crawl space floor to create a durable barrier between the home and the exposed ground.
The SmartJack® Crawl Space Support System was installed beneath the weakened floor structure. Steel beams were positioned below the affected framing, and adjustable SmartJack posts were placed on engineered bases before being carefully tightened to provide direct support.
