Bowing Wall in West Lebanon, NH

The foundation wall of a home in West Lebanon, New Hampshire was in danger of caving in.  The home owner contacted Matt Clark's Northern Basement Systems and set up a FREE ESTIMATE  with one of their System Design Specialist.  They came up with a plan that would permanently stabilize the foundation wall and have the potential to straighten out the wall over time.  Northern Basement Systems installed a GEO-Lock Wall Anchor System.  The Geo-Lock Anchor System will have steel rods, eight in this case, drilled through the foundation to a dug out trench in the yard.  In the trench the rods will be attached to an Earth Anchor.  The Earth Anchor will sit deep in the trench and once attached will be back filled with rocks and soil.  Inside the basement the steel rods are attached to Wall Plate.  Finally a technician from Matt Clark's Northern Basement Systems will tighten the rods from inside the basement making the walls permanently stabilized.

Insufficient Foundation Support in Newport, Vermont

A crawl space in Newport, Vermont was being supported by old wood posts.  Northern Basement Systems came in and replaced the old wood post with Smart Jacks.  Each SmartJack post rests on a precast concrete pad that is set on a base of compacted stone. This engineered structural system won’t settle like masonry piers can; nor will it rot or shift like a wood post.  All SmartJack parts are protected against rust with a thick galvanized coating.

Shotcrete and Wall Anchors to stabilize a bowing wall

This is a wall that was bowing and cracking. It was stabilized initially with our wall anchors then secured with our Shotcrete system. Shotcrete is a fiber-reinforced concrete material that is conveyed through a hose and pneumatically projected onto the wall surface.  The wall was reinforced and given structural integrity.
